2016 The Woman – Five Stances

 

This is the life of a woman shown in 5 stances/attitudes.

I am showing how life treats me and how I treat life. This is a process of becoming self-aware and beginning of holding a stance.

  1. Child’s pose
  2. Ballerina – (what society expects)
  3. A pregnant woman
  4. Awaken woman
  5. Stretching the whole body

 

Every stance/act lasts a minute. Artist is watching the video while performing. This is a process of a mental exercise.

The video is set up on YouTube and have a form of exercise videos. There is a beep after every minute (act) that is saying that the first act is to be changed.

After the performance is finished the video will be shown on a big screen and put in a loop continuously while the exhibition lasts.

 


 

Ovo je život žene u pet stavova.

Zauzimam različite stavove.

Pokazujem kako život tretira mene i kako ja tretiram život. Ovo je proces osvešćivanja i početak zauzimanja stava.

  1. Shishuasana – Dečja poza (u jogi)
  2. Balerina – ono što društvo očekuje od žene
  3. Trudnica
  4. Osvešćena žena
  5. Istezanje celog tela – dostizanje svog punog potencijala

Performans u trajanju od 5 minuta.

Umetnica svo vreme prati video sa računara koji stoji pored.

To su mentalne vežbe 5 stavova.

Jedan stav traje jedan minut.

Video se kasnije projektuje i na zid i nastavlja u loop-u.
